Ventura Foods Ontario – California

Construction of FDA approved food processing facility inside 675,000 SF industrial building.  Included construction of all below-grade utilities structural modifications to the building structure due to added loads, foundations for Tenant’s equipment, 30,000 SF of offices, employee changing areas with lockers and showers, lunch room areas, etc.

Plumbing work included over 200,000 LF of underground utility lines including on-site waste systems to reclamation stations.  Mechanical work included installation of HVAC equipment for 175,000 SF of refrigerated coolers. Electrical work included new revision of warehouse lighting for new floor layout and addition of sub-panels required for new processing equipment.

Concrete work for new equipment foundations and tank farm matt footings was self-performed by Commerce and involved the placing of over 4000 CY of concrete.

Included coordination with Ventura’s process piping, freezer cooler, and food grade equipment vendors and subcontractors as required.
